Mission and Objectives

The mission: The society of Women Graduate (SWG) in Gaza Strip is a non-profit organization , aims to train, rehabilitate, develop and edify the skills of women graduates equally to empower them and help them to find jobs through cooperating and coordinating with the local, regional, and international institutions. The objectives: 1)Gathering the educated women power in Gaza Strip. 2)Creating job opportunities for the un-employed women graduates . 3)Encouraging women graduates on thinking and scientific research. 4)Orienting women graduates in cultural, social and legal fields . 5)Encouraging women graduates to spend their leisure time in constructive Entertainment activities. 6)Relief the families of needy women graduates. The Society provide its services to the target group through : - The training Unit. - women graduates Cultural Forum. - The Computer Center. - The Projects Unit. - The Employment and Assistance Unit. - The library.

Context

The current situation in Gaza is characterized by large-scale destruction, displacement, interruption of services, and the collapse of economic opportunities. Women graduates face severe obstacles caused by loss of homes, limited mobility, the absence of functioning institutions, and the scarcity of livelihood opportunities. Their needs today include safety, access to essential services, income recovery, psychosocial support, and opportunities to re-engage in education and employment. In this context, SWG aims to strengthen its ability to mobilize resources, design responsive interventions, and expand programs that support women’s protection, dignity, and early recovery. This volunteer assignment will directly contribute to improving program effectiveness and securing sustainable funding for interventions benefitting women survivors, displaced women, and graduates navigating extreme hardship.

Task Description

The online volunteer(s) will support SWG’s Program and Projects Units in enhancing resource mobilization and proposal development capacities. Responsibilities include: - Donor Mapping and Research - Identify local, regional, and international donors supporting interventions in protection, early recovery, women’s rights, livelihoods, and humanitarian response in Palestine. - Develop a structured donor database detailing thematic priorities, funding windows, eligibility criteria, and deadlines. - Proposal Development - Draft and edit concept notes and project proposals aligned with women’s current needs in Gaza, including protection, income recovery, community resilience, digital inclusion, and education. - Provide guidance on designing results frameworks, indicators, monitoring mechanisms, and sustainability strategies. - Programmatic Support - Strengthen narratives on women’s safety, early recovery, inclusion, and resilience within proposals. - Review previous proposals and advise on enhancing clarity, alignment, and coherence. - Final deliverables that online volunteers will be expected to produce: - A list of 15 potential donors with their contact informaiton. - Draft and edit 5 concept notes and project proposal. - Refined the narratives on women’s safety, early recovery, inclusion, and resilience within proposals. - Coordination - Participate in online check-in meetings with SWG’s team. - Communication will be through email and WhatsApp. Note: Volunteers will not submit funding applications themselves; their role focuses on research and drafting.

Skills and experience
Proven experience in proposal writing, donor mapping, and fundraising for NGOs. Familiarity with gender equality, humanitarian response, or women’s protection programs. Strong analytical and English writing skills. Experience working in fragile, crisis, or conflict-affected contexts is an asset.
