Mission and Objectives
MISSION:
Empowering men, women, youths and the disadvantaged with the tools necessary to help them improve the quality of their lives. We want the oppressed, the poor and less privileged to live a life of meaning and worth. Key programs of Goodness and Mercy Missions since 2007 are: Women Economic empowerment initiatives, child sponsorship, hassle free education for underprivileged children, computer training and youth livelihood projects.
Context
Goodness and Mercy Missions has used the Internet since 2007 to promote her activities. Work of GMM is highlighted on its website, social media platforms like Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram and X. Volunteers are not to work on all of these platforms but can select a choice. Volunteers will build on projects like child Sponsorship, women economic and social empowerment, climate resilience and environmental protection. The organization will provide volunteers with everything relevant to accomplish the tasks.
Task Description
Since 2007, Goodness and Mercy Missions has been helping the rural poor in Cameroon, providing tools and means to the underprivileged for a sustainable livelihood. Projects have been on child Sponsorship, women economic empowerment, vocational training, computer literacy and initiatives on environmental protection and climate resilience. However, there has been a challenge. Most of these interventions are not reflected on our social media platforms which somewhat reduces our influence and impact. GMM is looking for volunteers who will help the organization to build and restructure the organization' social media platforms for the greater impact of its work. While volunteers will not directly manage these platforms, they will advice GMM to properly utilize platforms like the website, Facebook page, LinkedIn, Instagram, Tiktok and X for greater impact.
