Practical support for trade-led business The world faces monumental economic challenges, with the most vulnerable battered by social and economic instability. We at ITC are working to change this through trade for good. We offer small businesses, policymakers and business support organizations in developing countries an array of trade-related practical training, advisory services, and a wealth of business intelligence data. We help micro, small and medium-sized businesses become more competitive and help to create better regulatory environments for trade. We are empowering women, youth and refugees through jobs. Through our programmes, projects, services and data, we are helping drive digital connectivity and a global transition to green, sustainable trade.

Context

The ‪Ye! Community is the global platform, powered by the International Trade Centre (ITC), supporting young entrepreneurs and aspiring entrepreneurs to build impactful businesses and enhance economic development. Through the Ye! Community online platform, entrepreneurs up to 35 years of age, can connect with resources, tools, mentors, opportunities, and a network of their peers. ‪Ye! is home to more than 50,000 members, including young entrepreneurs, mentors, and business support organizations and financiers. The Ye! platform provides a community for young entrepreneurs online and in-person. Through the Ye! Community online platform, young entrepreneurs can connect without barriers to collaborate, seek partners, and access support. The Ye! Youth Ecopreneur Programme (YECO), powered by the International Trade Centre and the G20 Global Land Initiative (UNCCD), supports young entrepreneurs who are leading the way in green business innovation and advancing sustainable solutions. YECO is a comprehensive journey encompassing the Global Bootcamp with training and workshops, the Global Accelerator with coaching, mentorship, and tailored masterclasses, and culminating in the Youth Ecopreneur Awards.

Task Description

We are looking for 1 experienced and creative Online Volunteer who will support our communications team with the development of an outreach/social media campaign, for our community for young entrepreneurs, the Ye! community. In close collaboration with the Communications Team, the Online Volunteer will: - Develop communication materials for the webinar series of the Ye! community with Canva (2 per month) - Upload relevant opportunities for youth entrepreneurs on the Ye! community platform ( 2 per week) - Ye! Community: Help to create and distribute engaging social media flyers and posts for the Ye! Community, a global online community for young entrepreneurs. Key tasks include designing content for the Ye! community webinar series. Provide support on content for the Livefeed and the Opportunity Board of the Ye! Community The Online Volunteer will be provided with material and other sources to develop the outreach/social media campaign as required and available. For close coordination and discussion, the Online Volunteer is expected to be available for calls via Skype/Zoom/Microsoft Teams. This assignment provides Online Volunteers with an opportunity to develop and strengthen their skills in communication, networking within the communications team and other learning experiences.

Skills and experience
Candidates should have previous experience in campaign or strategy development with excellent communication and writing/editing skills. Good knowledge of online marketing tools and channels, as well as experience with designing outreach/marketing tools is highly desired. A degree in marketing, marketing management, communications, or related fields is considered an asset.
