Mission and Objectives

GLOWA fights against human trafficking and the damage it creates in our communities throughout the Northwest region of Cameroon through community education to prevent trafficking, support for victims, and advocacy on their behalf. Through these works, GLOWA aims to nurture a culture of respect for human rights, particularly those of children and women, in the region and fight against the systematic abuses faced by the most vulnerable.

Context

Global Welfare Association (GLOWA) is a women-led grassroots organization based in the conflict-affected North West Region of Cameroon. GLOWA implements programs in mental health support, gender justice, youth and women’s economic empowerment and legal advocacy for vulnerable populations. Currently, GLOWA’s website does not fully reflect the organization’s impact or support efficient communication with donors, partners and communities. A redesigned website is critical to improve visibility, share program achievements and facilitate engagement and resource mobilization. This assignment provides an opportunity for a volunteer to lead a team of online contributors, ensuring the website redesign is well-coordinated, high-quality and aligned with GLOWA’s mission. The role directly supports GLOWA’s ability to strengthen its digital presence and amplify its impact in the region.

Task Description

Global Welfare Association (GLOWA), a women-led grassroots NGO in Cameroon, seeks an Online Volunteer to coordinate the redesign of its website. The volunteer will guide a team of online volunteers, ensuring smooth collaboration, timely delivery and alignment with GLOWA’s mission and branding. Responsibilities include tracking deliverables, facilitating communication among volunteers, providing quality checks and serving as the main liaison between GLOWA and the volunteer team. This role strengthens GLOWA’s digital presence, improves visibility of its programs and enhances resource mobilization for gender justice and community support initiatives.
