Mission and Objectives
Within the United Nations Volunteers (UNV), the Volunteer Solutions Section (VSS) develops policies and solutions to support the mobilization of UN Volunteers across the UN system. VSS is responsible for providing robust and innovative volunteer service offers to the UN system. The Talent Acquisition and Recruitment team within VSS is responsible for talent acquisition and the recruitment of UN Volunteers from sourcing to selection for a specific assignment.
Context
The UNV Conditions of Service (COS) provide the policy and regulatory framework that governs all UN Volunteer assignments. They outline the contractual terms, entitlements, responsibilities, and expected conduct of UN Volunteers, ensuring consistency and fairness across both national and international assignments. The COS define key aspects such as eligibility criteria, legal status, benefits, volunteer conduct, and administrative procedures throughout the assignment lifecycle.
The Conditions of Service are regularly updated by the United Nations Volunteers (UNV) programme to reflect evolving operational needs and to ensure a unified, coherent approach across volunteer categories.
Task Description

- Designing a clean and visually coherent layout for the publication-ready PDF, based on the Word document and in full alignment with UNV branding and style guidelines.
- Ensuring the final PDF is fully accessible, including proper tagging, alternative text for images, logical reading order, and compliance with accessibility standards for people with disabilities.
No editing of the content in terms of tone or style will be required. The focus is solely on the look of the document and its accessibility.
