Mission and Objectives
Istanbul International Center for Private Sector in Development (IICPSD) supports the private sector and foundations to become transformative partners in development through research, advocacy for inclusive business, facilitation of public-private dialogue and brokering partnerships. IICPSD, established in 2011 in partnership with the Government of Turkey, is one of UNDP's six Global Policy Centres. It leads UNDP’s global work on private sector and foundations and supports UNDP’s offices all over the world. The Center focuses on four thematic areas:
1. Inclusive Business;
2. Private Sector Engagement in Skills Development;
3. Impact investing;
4. Resilience and Crisis Response.
The Center also hosts four global initiatives: Business Call to Action, SDG Philanthropy Platform, Global Islamic Finance and Impact Investing Platform and Connecting Business Initiative.
Context
Artificial Intelligence is advancing rapidly, with agentic software development emerging as a transformative paradigm in which AI systems can autonomously plan, act, and make decisions within development workflows. Complementary approaches like vibe coding further enhance this shift by enabling faster, more intuitive human–AI collaboration in software creation.
While these technologies are transforming how solutions are built across sectors, access to the necessary skills remains limited—particularly in Least Developed Countries (LDCs) and developing economies. This gap is not only about technology, but about practical knowledge and hands-on expertise.
To address this, UNDP ICPSD is launching an online Agentic Software Development & Vibe Coding Training Series targeting students, researchers, and early-career professionals from these regions.
Agentic Software Development & Vibe Coding Trainers are expected to contribute by delivering focused, high-quality training to equip participants with the skills needed to effectively apply these emerging AI approaches.
Task Description
Under the overall supervision of the ICPSD Programme team, the UN Volunteers will:
- Design and deliver a structured series of 9–10 lectures on Agentic Software Development & Vibe Coding
- Align training content with the best practices and adapt them to the target audience’s level
- Cover key topics such as:
Introduction to the Vibe Paradigm;
Architecting and configuring the AI Workspace;
Development paradigms: Intent-Based "Vibe" Iteration; Spec-Driven, Agentic Orchestration, etc. ;
Agentic Mechanics: Planning & Tool Use;
Managing Multi-Agent Teams;
The "Safety Net": Automated Validation & Evals;
Debugging in the Agentic Age;
Context Engineering & Large Codebases;
AI-First SDLC: Deployment & Operations;
Capstone: Building an Autonomous Micro-Product;
Practical applications and use cases
- Develop hands-on exercises, demonstrations, and/or mini projects
- Provide guidance and feedback to participants throughout the training
- Contribute to the development of supporting materials (slides, notebooks, assignments)
- Participate in coordination meetings with programme organizers
