United Nations Volunteers (UNV) contributes to peace and development through volunteerism worldwide. We work with partners to integrate qualified, highly motivated and well supported UN Volunteers into development programming and promote the value and global recognition of volunteerism.

Context

Online Volunteers will help visualize the stories of refugees for better public understanding and awareness.

Task description

Under the supervision of the Regional Communications Analyst of UNV Eurasia, the Online Volunteer(s) will support the Regional Office for Europe and Central Asia (ROECA) with creating short animations for the narrated stories. ROECA is seeking five Online Volunteers to support the strengthening of the Regional Office’s media and visibility reporting. The online volunteers' responsibilities will include: Creating a short animated film up to 5 minutes maximum for pre-recorded 5 narrated stories of refugees.

Skills and experience

Previous experience in animation and preparing videos via Adobe Illustrator, Studiobinder, Storyboard Pro 22 etc. Fluency in either English or Russian Ability to understand the stories of the refugees and visually translate them into animated films. Previous experience working with UN or international organizations is a plus. Creativity, attention to detail, and ability to work independently online.
