ASSIGNMENT CONTEXT The 21st Century African Youth Movement (AYM) is a youth-focused nonprofit organization working to create employment and economic opportunities for young people across Africa. AYM supports initiatives in entrepreneurship, agriculture, technology, education, healthcare, ecotourism, and other sectors that contribute to sustainable youth development. Youth unemployment remains one of the most significant challenges facing many African countries. Millions of young people possess talent, energy, and ambition but lack access to economic opportunities, training, resources, and support systems needed to reach their full potential. AYM was established to help address these challenges by developing practical, community-based solutions that create pathways to employment, entrepreneurship, and self-reliance. As the organization continues to expand its programs and outreach activities, AYM recognizes the importance of strengthening its digital presence to increase public awareness, recruit volunteers, attract donors, engage partners, and communicate its impact more effectively. The organization maintains a website, digital communication channels, online campaigns, and the Voices of the Emerging Africa YouTube channel to support these efforts. To support this growth, AYM is establishing a Digital Growth Team composed of skilled online volunteers who will contribute expertise in website development, digital marketing, search engine optimization, Google Ad Grants, analytics, fundraising support, content management, and digital engagement. The Digital Growth Team Coordinator will play a key leadership role in organizing and guiding these efforts. The volunteer will help coordinate digital projects, support collaboration among team members, monitor progress, and ensure that digital activities align with AYM's mission and strategic priorities. The assignment offers an opportunity to contribute to a growing international organization while helping strengthen systems that support youth employment and economic empowerment initiatives across Africa. The volunteer's work will help expand AYM's reach, increase stakeholder engagement, strengthen fundraising capacity, and support programs designed to create lasting opportunities for African youth.

TASK DESCRIPTION The 21st Century African Youth Movement (AYM) is seeking an experienced volunteer to serve as Digital Growth Team Coordinator. The volunteer will lead and coordinate a team of digital volunteers to strengthen AYM's online presence and support its mission to create employment and economic opportunities for African youth. The coordinator will report directly to the President of AYM and oversee digital initiatives, including website improvement, search engine optimization (SEO), Google Ad Grants, digital fundraising, volunteer recruitment, content management, analytics, and online outreach. The volunteer will help organize the work of a multidisciplinary team that may include website developers, Elementor specialists, SEO specialists, Google Ads specialists, content creators, analytics specialists, and digital marketing volunteers. Key Responsibilities - Coordinate and support the Digital Growth Team. - Develop work plans and priorities for digital projects. - Assign tasks and monitor progress. - Facilitate virtual meetings and team communication. - Ensure collaboration among volunteers working on different digital initiatives. - Support website improvement efforts using WordPress and Elementor. - Coordinate SEO and Google Ad Grant activities. - Support the development and optimization of fundraising and campaign landing pages. - Coordinate volunteer recruitment and digital engagement efforts. - Monitor website performance, traffic, and user engagement. - Support integration of the Voices of the Emerging Africa YouTube channel with the AYM website and digital outreach efforts. - Prepare monthly progress reports and recommendations. - Identify opportunities to improve digital visibility, fundraising, volunteer recruitment, and public engagement.
