Task Description

Task: DCO Digital Solutions Content Design, Research and Management of Sharepoint Page This Online UN Volunteer assignment will support the Digital Solutions Lab in strengthening its knowledge management approach and improving the structure, content, and usability of its SharePoint page. The purpose of the assignment is to review the current SharePoint page, identify gaps and opportunities, and propose a revised knowledge management strategy and information architecture that better supports learning, collaboration, and discovery of digital and innovation-related resources, including AI. The work will align with the UN 2.0 vision and its Quintet of Change (data, digital, innovation, foresight, and behavioural science), ensuring the page is future‑ready and user‑centred. The assignment will be implemented in three phases. First, the Online Volunteer will conduct a review and diagnostic of the existing SharePoint page, assessing its structure, content, usability, and alignment with intended users and UN 2.0 priorities. Based on this review, the volunteer will develop a proposal for a revised page structure, including recommended fields/sections, navigation logic, and a clear description of the content to be included under each field. This will be accompanied by a short knowledge management strategy outlining the purpose, audiences, and principles guiding the page. Secondly, the Online Volunteer will compile and curate content to populate the proposed structure. This will include synthesizing relevant research and frameworks on artificial intelligence and digital innovation, identifying and organizing learning resources such as trainings, podcasts, and talks, and ensuring that content is concise, relevant, and clearly tagged. The emphasis will be on practical, high‑quality resources that can be easily accessed and reused by staff. Finally, the Online Volunteer will support the update of the SharePoint page in line with the approved structure, taking into account SharePoint capabilities and basic web and content design principles. This phase will focus on translating the strategy and research into practice, improving readability and navigation, and supporting sustainability through clear documentation for future updates.
