Mission and Objectives
Anchored in the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and in line with the priorities outlined in the UNDP Strategic Plan, the Regional Bureau for Arab States (RBAS) supports the Arab States region to achieve sustainable development by eradicating poverty in all its forms and dimensions, accelerating structural transformations for sustainable development, and building resilience to crises and shocks.
In addition to its presence in New York, RBAS has its main office in the Regional Hub based in Amman, Jordan with some staff based in Beirut (Lebanon) and Dubai (UAE).
The Amman Regional Hub hosts regional initiatives under the Regional Programme for Arab States 2022-2025 which touches upon the following areas of work: governance and anti-corruption, regional cooperation for the reduction of poverty and inequality, knowledge economy, conflict prevention and peacebuilding, climate security, youth engagement and empowerment, gender equality, resilience building, among others.
Context
UNDP RBAS is seeking an Online Volunteer (Graphic Designer) with experience in designing professional reports and publication products to support the development of an Evaluation Dissemination Strategy product.
Under the guidance of RBM Analysts, RBAS Regional Programme, and in close coordination with the communications team, the Online Volunteer will support the assignment by undertaking the above tasks as described. The volunteer is required to have access to a valid Adobe Creative Cloud license.
Task Description
1. Design the layout and visual identity for the Evaluation Dissemination Strategy product (e.g. report, brief, or publication-ready document).
2. Translate the strategy content into clear, visually appealing, and reader‑friendly designs.
3. Apply UNDP corporate branding and visual guidelines consistently across all design outputs.
4.Propose and refine design concepts, including layout, typography, color schemes, and visual elements, in line with the intended target audience.
5. Integrate charts, infographics, icons, and visual summaries, where relevant, to enhance comprehension and stakeholder engagement.
6. Incorporate feedback from RBM analysts and communication focal points and revise designs accordingly.
7. Deliver final, publication‑ready design files within the agreed timeline.
Expected Deliverables:
1. A professionally designed Evaluation Dissemination Strategy product (print‑ready and digital versions, as applicable).
2. Two editable source files (e.g. Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, PDF, or other agreed formats).

Skills and experience
Candidates should have professional experience in graphic design with previous experience in designing document layouts, and must have in-depth knowledge of graphic design applications, as well as good verbal and written communication skills.
A degree in graphic design or related field is considered an asset. Please note that shortlisted candidates will be required to share samples of their previous design work for review.
