We envision an Africa where; All women and girls can exercise their rights and make informed decisions about sexuality, relationships, pregnancies, child bearing and marriage, free from coercion, violence and discrimination Communities work together with numerous stakeholders to push community driven development. They are aware of their rights and work to empower each other while pushing development. Young people have access to educational opportunities as well as access to youth friendly reproductive right services Young people have access to information, resources to assume leadership with focus on social planning and policy change aiming at social action and system change

The Community Centre for Integrated Development is implementing the “Her Peace, Our Peace — Women, Peace & Security Peace Huts in Idenau, Batoke and Penda Mboko” project. The project seeks to strengthen the agency, protection and meaningful participation of adolescent girls and young women in conflict-affected and underserved communities in Cameroon. It will do this through Peace Huts, psychosocial support, basic legal aid, referrals, intergenerational dialogues, male engagement, community outreach, and the training of Young Women Peace Ambassadors. To support community mobilisation, CCID needs simple, attractive and easy-to-understand communication materials that can explain the project’s key messages to different audiences. These audiences include adolescent girls and young women, survivors of gender-based violence, community members, traditional and religious leaders, young men and boys, service providers, local authorities and grassroots organisations. The assignment will support the development of content and design of brochures, infographics, posters, flyers, social media cards, factsheets, referral cards and other knowledge products. These materials will be used during Peace Hut activities, community sensitisation sessions, intergenerational dialogues, male engagement workshops, outreach campaigns, radio and social media engagement, and the 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence. The materials should help communities understand the links between the Women, Peace and Security Agenda, sexual and reproductive health and rights, gender-based violence prevention and response, survivor-centred support, positive masculinity, referral pathways, and women and girls’ participation in peacebuilding. The final products should be youth-friendly, culturally appropriate, non-stigmatising, survivor-centred and suitable for use in Cameroon’s community contexts. They should turn technical project language into simple messages that inspire awareness, dialogue, action and community ownership.

CCID is seeking the support of Online Volunteer(s) to develop content and design brochures, infographics and other knowledge products for community mobilisation under the Her Peace, Our Peace — Women, Peace & Security Peace Huts project. The project seeks to strengthen the agency, protection and meaningful participation of adolescent girls and young women in Idenau, Batoke and Penda Mboko through Peace Huts, psychosocial support, basic legal aid, referrals, Young Women Peace Ambassadors, intergenerational dialogues, male engagement and community outreach. The Online Volunteer(s) will help translate the project’s key messages into simple, clear and visually engaging materials that can be used during community sessions, Peace Hut activities, intergenerational dialogues, male engagement workshops, outreach campaigns, radio engagement, social media advocacy and the 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence. The assignment will include both content development and design. The volunteer(s) will draft simple messages, factsheets, brochure text, poster copy, infographic content, referral information and social media captions, and will also design the final materials in attractive, youth-friendly and print-ready formats. The knowledge products should explain key issues such as the Women, Peace and Security Agenda, gender-based violence prevention and response, survivor-centred support, sexual and reproductive health and rights, positive masculinity, referral pathways, Peace Huts, and the role of communities in protecting women and girls. All materials must be simple, culturally sensitive, non-stigmatising, survivor-centred and suitable for use with adolescent girls and young women, community members, local leaders, young men and boys, service providers and grassroots organisations in Cameroon.
