Mission and Objectives

Agoro Community Development Association (ACDA), operating through Enabling Rural Opportunity Network (ERONet), is a community-based nonprofit organization founded on 27 August 2001 in Lamwo District, Northern Uganda. ERONet works with rural, post-conflict, and refugee-hosting communities to improve the lives of women, girls, youth, and vulnerable households through education support, women’s empowerment, protection, livelihoods, and community resilience initiatives. ERONet’s mission is to strengthen resilient and inclusive rural communities by supporting girls’ education, protecting women and girls, strengthening livelihoods, and promoting community resilience in Northern Uganda. The organization is currently finalizing its revised Strategic Plan 2025–2030 and seeks support to strengthen its financial planning and donor readiness.

Context

ERONet is transitioning from a small grassroots initiative into a stronger locally led development organization serving post-conflict and refugee-hosting communities in Northern Uganda. As part of strengthening its institutional capacity and donor readiness, ERONet recently revised its Strategic Plan 2025–2030 around three focused strategic pillars: girls’ education and protection, women’s livelihoods and empowerment, and community resilience. While the strategy has been substantially strengthened, ERONet recognizes the importance of including realistic financial projections and a stronger resource mobilization framework to improve strategic implementation and funding readiness. This volunteer assignment will contribute directly to strengthening ERONet’s institutional development, sustainability planning, and ability to engage with donors, embassies, INGOs, and other development partners.
