Context

At Southern Africa Embrace Foundation, we are dedicated to empowering communities across Southern Africa through education, health initiatives, and economic development programs. We have a strong online presence, actively engaging with our community through our website and social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIN and Threads. Our online channels help us connect with individuals and organizations, share our impact stories, and promote our various initiatives. We are seeking support in editing videos that will be used on our social media platforms.

Task Description

Selected online volunteers will work with social media team of organization to produce high quality videos for social media events and marketing campaigns. -Volunteers will work on one video a week. Videos are generally short (less than 10 minutes). -Volunteers will edit videos with motion graphics, animations, and soundtracks to tell impactful stories to be posted on organization's social media platforms -Content to use will be provided by the Social Media Team. -Selected volunteers must be available for weekly team meetings held on Wednesday at 10am EST.

Skills and experience
Education and Experience: -Ideal candidate is a recent graduate (graduated within the past year) or an undergraduate/graduate student in journalism, communications, public relations, marketing, digital filmmaking, digital media, graphic design, or a development-related field. -Expertise in video editing using CapCut or other software like Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Final Cut Pro, etc. -Strong understanding of design principles, typography, color theory, and visual storytelling.
