Mission and Objectives
GLOWA fights against human trafficking and the damage it creates in our communities throughout the Northwest region of Cameroon through community education to prevent trafficking, support for victims, and advocacy on their behalf. Through these works, GLOWA aims to nurture a culture of respect for human rights, particularly those of children and women, in the region and fight against the systematic abuses faced by the most vulnerable.
Context
Global Welfare Association (GLOWA) is a Cameroon-based nonprofit organization dedicated to preventing child trafficking, supporting survivors of exploitation and torture, and promoting access to education and sustainable livelihoods for vulnerable and conflict-affected populations.
As GLOWA expands its programs and partnerships, it increasingly engages with international foundations and institutional donors to secure funding for survivor-centered rehabilitation, education access, livelihood support, and advocacy initiatives. To remain competitive in the global funding landscape, GLOWA must ensure that its project proposals meet high standards of clarity, coherence, structure, and professionalism.
While GLOWA develops strong program concepts and technical content internally, there is a need for expert editorial support to strengthen language quality, logical flow, alignment with donor expectations, and overall persuasiveness.
The Grant Proposal Editor will contribute to building GLOWA’s institutional capacity by improving the quality of its funding proposals and supporting the development of standardized, high-quality proposal language for future submissions.
This assignment directly supports the sustainability and growth of programs serving vulnerable children and survivors in Cameroon by strengthening the organization’s ability to secure funding and expand impact.
