Mission and Objectives

As the lead United Nations agency on international development, UNDP works in 170 countries and territories to eradicate poverty and reduce inequality. We help countries develop policies, leadership skills, partnerships and institutional capabilities to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals. Our work is centred around six core development areas, known as our signature solutions: poverty and inequality, governance, resilience, environment, energy and gender equality.

Context

UNDP Guinea-Bissau works in close partnership with the Government, civil society, and development partners to advance sustainable development, democratic governance, digital transformation, climate resilience, and gender equality. The UNDP Guinea-Bissau Annual Report 2025 is a key corporate publication that highlights the organization’s results, achievements, and partnerships over the past year. It showcases how UNDP programmes contribute to strengthening institutions, expanding access to services, promoting inclusive growth, and building resilience for communities across the country. The report will be used for donor engagement, institutional visibility, knowledge sharing, and public communication, helping to demonstrate the tangible impact of UNDP’s work and the value of partnerships in delivering sustainable development outcomes. Through this assignment, Online Volunteers will contribute to communicating development results and amplifying impact, supporting UNDP’s efforts to advance the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in Guinea-Bissau
