Mission and Objectives

Enabling Rural Opportunity Network (ERONet), formally Agoro Community Development Association (ACDA), is a community-based organization working in Northern Uganda, in the refugee pron District of Lamwo to empower vulnerable rural populations through education, livelihood support, and community development initiatives. ERONet focuses on: - Expanding access to quality education for vulnerable children, especially girls - Strengthening community resilience and long-term sustainability - Promoting child protection and rights awareness - Supporting social and economic empowerment in post-conflict communities - Building partnerships to increase opportunities for underserved populations

Context

The Enabling Rural Opportunity Network (ERONet) is a grassroots organization based in Northern Uganda working to improve access to education and opportunities for vulnerable rural communities. The Agoro Girls Education Pilot Project supports girls from disadvantaged backgrounds to access and remain in secondary school. Beyond direct support, ERONet is working to strengthen its systems for monitoring, evaluation, accountability, and learning (MEAL), as well as improve visibility to attract sustainable funding. This assignment contributes directly to: Strengthening ERONet’s reporting and accountability systems Documenting measurable impact and lessons learned Enhancing the organization’s visibility and credibility with partners and donors The final report will be used for donor engagement, organizational learning, and future program development.

Task Description

The selected Online Volunteer will support ERONet to develop a professionally structured quarterly report for the Agoro Girls Education Pilot Project. Specifically, the volunteer will: Review and organize existing project materials (field notes, monitoring data, photos, and internal records) Design a clear and professional report structure aligned with development reporting standards Develop and refine key performance indicators (KPIs) to reflect project progress and impact Analyze available data and present it in a clear, concise, and visual format (tables, summaries, simple charts if applicable) Integrate photos and field insights into a compelling narrative that highlights impact Draft a complete quarterly report (including introduction, methodology, results, lessons learned, and next steps) Revise the report based on feedback from the ERONet team

Proven experience in report writing, preferably in development, humanitarian, or NGO contexts Strong skills in Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, and Learning (MEAL) or program evaluation Ability to analyze and present both qualitative and quantitative data clearly Experience developing indicators and structuring impact reports Strong writing and editing skills in English Ability to work independently and meet deadlines within a remote setting Familiarity with education, gender, or community development projects is an added advantage
