Mission and Objectives
Enabling Rural Opportunity Network (ERONet), formerly, Agoro Community Development Association (ACDA) is a women-led community-based organization founded and operating in Lamwo District, Northern Uganda. The organization works with rural, post-conflict, and refugee-hosting communities to improve the well-being of vulnerable populations, particularly women, children, and youth.
ERONet’s mission is to empower rural communities through interventions that strengthen girls’ education, improve household livelihoods, and enhance community resilience and protection systems.
The organization has ongoing initiatives in girls’ education sponsorship, household economic strengthening, and community-based resilience, and works in collaboration with local government and development partners.
Context
ERONet operates in rural and post-conflict communities in Northern Uganda, delivering programs in education, child protection, livelihoods, and community resilience. As the organization grows and engages with donors, strengthening internal financial systems is critical.
While ERONet has an established Financial Policy, many operational tools (standardized forms and templates) are not yet fully developed or harmonized. This creates risks in documentation, reporting consistency, and audit readiness.
This assignment directly contributes to:
Improving financial accountability and transparency
Strengthening internal controls
Enhancing donor confidence and compliance
Supporting sustainable organizational growth
The volunteer’s contribution will provide practical tools that can be immediately used by field and finance teams, particularly in low-resource and rural operational settings.
