Mission and Objectives
Established in 1965, UNDP is the United Nations’ global development network, operating in nearly 170 countries and territories. Its mission is to eradicate poverty, reduce inequalities, and build resilience to crises and shocks. The Istanbul Regional Hub (IRH) is UNDP’s primary knowledge and advisory center for the Europe and Central Asia region.
Context
The UNDP Gender Team is working the Governance team and five country offices (Indonesia, Philippines, Iraq, Kenya, Uganda) to provide targeted support including digital tools like eMonitor+, which tracks tech‑facilitated gender‑based violence directed at women environment human rights defenders and localized dashboards for monitoring threats. The project is developing protection measures based on the findings of the data, including community‑driven safety protocols, to enable women to participate safely and visibly in environmental governance.
Task Description
*Supporting the UNDP emonitor+ platform for the monitoring of TFGBV under the guidance of Digital Transformation Specialist/ Global Digital Democracy Specialist.
*Undertake induction into the tool and tasks and Attend all mandatory trainings relating to Emonitor+ platform and related activities;
*Support social media tracking, data cleaning, classification, translation, analysis and related functions as required;
*Compile relevant impact metrics and support impact evaluation functions including producing weekly impact reports under guidance of Specialist;
*Any other related tasks as may be required or assigned by the supervisor.
Contribute to activities related to eMonitor+, such as defining keywords for data collection and developing and updating the methodology.
Coordinate communication, advocacy, and dissemination activities, including contributing to the preparation and simplification of communication materials, organizing workshops, etc.

Bachelors’ degree in social sciences, law, economics, computer science or related field.
Required experience: 3 years

Academic; At least a Bachelors’ degree in social sciences, law, economics, computer science or related field.or other relevant degree
Demonstrated interest and/or experience (up to 2 years) in and relevant work experience in gender equality, social media analysis or other relevant experience. Interest and/or experience gender equality and social inclusion (GESI), disability inclusion development and leave no one behind (LNOB) desired.
Motivated to contribute towards peace and development and to serve others;
Good interpersonal, networking and communication skills;
Willingness to contribute and work as part of a team;
Flexible and open to learning and new experiences;
Respect for diversity and adaptability to other cultures, environments and living conditions;
Previous experience as a volunteer and/or experience of another culture, (i.e. studies, volunteer work, internship) would be highly regarded;
Computer skills (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, social media, and others).
