Additional information

Living conditions and remarks
The security situation in Port Sudan is relatively stable, living conditions are good, the city is accessible by road and via its airport that receives internal and international flights including UNHAS. The climate is humid and cost of an accommodation is somewhat high with a wide range of options available. Food, water, and other services are available, including medical facilities, banking facilities, communications infrastructure, among others. Like other parts of Sudan, electricity in Port Sudan is not stable, hence not reliable. Sudan is a humanitarian operation, more specifically, the society requires a mature level of cultural awareness, as well as stamina and commitment. Therefore, flexibility and the ability and willingness to live and work in harsh and potentially hazardous conditions, involving physical hardship and little comfort, are essential
