Context
timbuktoo Africa Innovation Foundation is a pan-African innovation initiative anchored in UNDP's Regional Bureau for Africa. Its mission is to support African founders to start, grow, and scale — targeting 100,000 enrolled startups and the mobilisation of USD 1 billion for African innovation.
The Founders Circle is a weekly virtual community session for startups enrolled in the timbuktoo programme. Three sessions are planned for June, July, August 2026. Each session runs for approximately 90 minutes and is hosted by Foundation leadership. The sessions bring together enrolled founders for structured peer exchange, open discussion, and community engagement. A written post-session report documenting key insights and participation data is published to timbuktoo.africa following each session.
Task Description
We are looking for one online volunteer to support note-taking during weekly Founders Circle sessions and produce a written report after each one.
Before and during each 60-minute session, the online volunteer will:
Research and line-up the speakers presession, 1 week advance
Attend the full virtual session on the designated platform
Take structured notes covering key discussion points, founder contributions, and emerging themes
Within 48 hours of each session, the online volunteer will produce one post-session report (400–600 words) covering:
A brief overview of the session topic and structure
3–5 key insights or discussion themes from the session
An Ai-assisted summary deck of the presentation
Notable founder contributions or perspectives shared
A short closing reflection on community participation
The single output of this assignment is 12 completed post-session reports: one per Founders Circle session — delivered within 48 hours of each weekly session in June,July, August 2026.
